For this reason, Heaven's Baby Angels reached out to Natalie Hooks, Director of Development by email and shipped a delivery of 50 of our infant bereavement attire sets in all of the sizes that we offer, to The Children's Hospital located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Children's of Mississippi UMMC, Jackson MS
Upon doing research, Heavens Baby Angels learned that Mississippi has the highest infant death rate in the United States. Heaven's Baby Angels contacted Children's of Mississippi, University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi. Amber Magee in the Office of Development then contacted us by email to say that they would love to receive some infant bereavement attire items for their NICU and Labor and Delivery unit! Amber expressed that these infant bereavement outfits are so special and meaningful to the families that they go to. A delivery was sent to her attention on Sept. 2, 2023.

On July 31, 2023, Heaven's Baby Angels received an email from Ginger Zhou from Capital Health Foundation requesting an infant bereavement attire delivery be made to their facility. It was shipped out on July 31, 2023 to her location. On August 28, 2023, Heaven's Baby Angels received the Thank You letter posted here.

Heaven's Baby Angels was contacted by Ginger Zhou, by email, who is the Special Events and Projects Coordinator for Capital Health Foundation in Pennington NJ. Ginger requested a shipment be sent to their location for their NICU and their labor and delivery department. A delivery was sent out to her location on 7/31, 2023.

COUNTRY SHORE WOMEN'S CLUB PENNY AUCTION
On April 24th, 2023, at 7:00 pm, the Country Shore Women's Club held a Penny Auction at the Osprey Cove Club House in Seaville, NJ, and their members donated all proceeds from this event to the Heaven's Baby Angels program.
The Country Shore Women's Club members worked so hard on this event creating delicious homemade desserts and appetizers. The items collected to be chanced off were beautiful items such as crystal vases, candle holders and bowls. Ashley Drake doll collections, Lenox, electric cooking ware, framed artworks, and so many other amazing categories, too many to mention. It was truly so organized and well operated. The attendees had a great time for a great cause.
The Heaven's Baby Angels program would like to thank Sally Morris, Carolyn Peltz, Tanya Curran, Joyce O'Reilly, Mary Ann Barile and ALL the members of the Country Shore Women's Club for all the hard work, their beautiful hearts, their generous donation, and for a most enjoyable evening.

Swedesboro Convention
The Loyal Order of the Moose Association members of NJ were informed in 2022 of Heaven's Baby Angels by Sharon Plasket, their Community Service Manager. Several members of the Moose joined our program as seamstresses and also crocheters. In 2023, they named our program as their "Heart of the Community" project. We were invited to their NJ State Convention in Swedesboro NJ on March 3 and 4, 2023 to set up a table and speak to their members about our program. We truly appreciate the Moose Association members having our program in their hearts and all they have done for our program.

Todd Haas, a photojournalist from 6abc News in Philadelphia, and his intern, shown above, conducted an interview on Feb. 3rd, with Carolyn Peltz, who is a seamstress and the Ast. Program Manager of HBA. Also present for the interview was the Co-Founder and Secretary of HBA, Sally Behar and Joanne Deibert, who is a knitter and crochets for our program. On February 7th, a delivery of 70 infant bereavement items were shipped to Cooper University Health Care NICU in Camden NJ. This delivery was facilitated by Jean Lucas who donated her gown to our program and asked that the items created would be donated to Cooper as Jean is now retired but had worked in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) for 27 years.
Our volunteers have been quite busy this month preparing for the 2023 Perinatal Bereavement Palliative Care Conference that will held in March in Voorhees, NJ. They are not only creating the outfits, but our local volunteers will be attending a "packaging" session on Feb. 21st at our location. This meeting will consist of the local volunteers matching outfits to coordinating hats, blankets, booties and a memory bag and inserting them all into a sealed cellophane bag. These packages will be placed into inventory and distributed to those hospitals attending the conference in March at no charge to the hospitals or the parents.
