DECEMBER ACTIVITY

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were sent to St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA to the attention of their Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator, Michelle Henderson.  

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were sent to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY to the attention of their Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator, Mary Radatovich.   

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to The Women & Children's Center at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC to the attention of Jen Hamilton RN-3, BSN, CEN, RNC-OB for their Infant Bereavement Room where they keep supplies such as infant bereavement clothing, photo albums, shadow boxes and many other items that the nurses use to help the parents through the bereavement process.  

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to The Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH to the attention of their Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager.  

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to The Family Childbirth and Children's Center at Mercy in Baltimore, MD to the attention of their Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager.  

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ to the attention of their Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager. 

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ to the attention of the Director of Women and Children's Services/Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager

A shipment of 80 infant bereavement items were packaged and sent to The Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center to the attention of their Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager. 

An inquiry was made from a woman by the name of Rani to one of our Seamstress Assistants, Jackie requesting that information be sent to her on how she could start up and operate an infant bereavement attire program in her area when she returns to India.  Our secretary, Sally   sent her instructions on how we started and operate.  Also enclosed in the box we sent to her was patterns and 1 sample of each item we create.  

We were contacted by Ann Marie who donated her beautiful wedding gown to our program in loving memory of her twin daughters that became angel babies.  Heavens Baby Angles made a Memorial Delivery of about 75 infant bereavement items to the Pennsylvania Hosptial in Philadelphia in the loving memory of her babies Sarah Ann and Hanah Marie.

HBA was referred to an organization, Jane's Room, that provides privacy and comfort to families experiencing pregnancy loss and infant death. They advocate for grieving parents and families at hospitals throughout the country.  One of their partnering hospitals is Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL.  HBA sent a box to the attention of Kathryn Beam, their Perinatal Palliative Care Coordinator on March 21st with 80 infant bereavement items. 

HBA was contacted by Stephanie Fuentes for her cousin, Karina Reyes.  Karina and Carlos's daughter, Alaia was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Easton Pa on 7/13/23 but passed away at Chops in Philadelphia on March 19, 2024.  A memorial delivery was made to St. Lukes Health Network of about 80 infant bereavement items in the loving memory of Alaia Ryes.  

Upon doing research on Infant Perinatal and Bereavement we learned that Alabama was one of the top 5 states in the U.S. that are in need of the services we offer.  Our secretary contacted Anna-Blair Self, the Donor Relations Coordinator for Children's of Alabama hospital and expressed our desire to her to send them a shipment of 80 infant bereavement items.  Anna was very interested in receiving our donation.  A shipment was sent out to her attention on Sept. 25, 2023
